Introduction
- Culture and arts management is a discipline aimed at achieving “socialization of the arts,” as it involves contemplating ways to share and spread the achievements of artistic creation with the rest of society.
- Culture and arts management encompass all processes of creating cultural value in various forms in society with the act of using creativity through the arts and its outcomes. This area not only includes the artistic and cultural activities but also cultural planning, the arts market and creative industry, education on culture and the arts, cultural policies, policy evaluation, and related laws and systems.
- Students gain a chance to make academic inquiries into specific ways to engage in business management in the cultural content industry and explore theories and practices concerning cultural content management in organizations, academies, associations, etc., in relation to exhibitions and productions, and so on.
- Students get to hone basic skills related to culture and arts management and policies by studying arts management, cultural policies, culture and the arts, cultural content, laws related to arts management and more. They also gain the necessary knowledge and skills related to the fundamental theories, business management, planning, production, organization and personnel, marketing, critiques, etc. to become experts in the area of culture and arts management.
